Apology

I shall make a public apology to friends in London who couldn't make it to visit me in Glasgow.

Weather on that day was one of the best no Glaswegian could ever ask for.  Wish you guys were here.  I'm so sorry I didn't make it happen because I have a personal reason.  I will never ever let anyone take a risky route to visit me.  Every route is risky but the least is preferable.  I shall make it up to you guys one day.

This is what you were missing........

Just another home

I may sound humble with the title ............... moving homes is just another routine of mine.

Life is full of ups and downs and I guess I'm having the downs most the time.  However, my new dwelling is a comfort zone for me.

2007_0907newapartment0370  My fluffy pillows and duvet ... Zzzz

2007_0907newapartment0372 lounge without a tv

2007_0907newapartment0373  computer on a pink desk without broadband.

Yes... I am withdrawing from broadband addiction.  I can't survive any longer.  It has taken me more than 12 hours on the phone trying to speak to the right person in BT (British Telecommuincations) which is as worse as Malaysia Telekom.  I need to shoot someone!

I was also faced with a rude patient who wanted to complain about me?  why me when I was the most harmless one?!?!?  I have learnt this phrase "Rudeness is a weak man imitation of strength"....... Bless him!  Guess it's time to go home and save those who appreciate and value my help.

Korean flicks is also one of my many favourite past times with my ex-flatmate, Christina and our new member, Mei yin.... We are so crazy that we said we need to dress up like korean to this buffet farewell lunch .

2007_0907newapartment0368

Stefano (A milano who is half-asleep and a true chatterbox), Mei Yin (who won the best outfit) and myself (aint too bad)

Christina did her best (her dangling earring symbolised the korean outfit! wtf)

Life is boring at the moment ........ will update more when I have the time.  Time for more reading.

Hunting hi n lo

Hello bloggers....... sorry for the slow updates.  Seems like i have more fans these days.

I have been so busy.  The National Health Service has been playing with my life just now.  I had to juggle so many things at the same.

3 weeks ago, I was told I'll be doing dermatology in Glasgow but 2 days before the start of the new job, I was told I had to go to Kilmarnock!  I had to change all my plans all over again.  I initially wanted to own a property of my own, a bachelorette pad........ been hunting hi n lo...... still couldnt find the one.  Due to the change of my job location, I was forced to move out of Glasgow.  I'm going to rent a property just at the border so that it doesnt take me too long to drive to work.  These are the apartments I was thinking about ....

This converted barn in Kilmarnock has a princess-theme

 kil untitled

kilm but I wouldn't want to live in the countryside. I'm not even 30

Or this modern brand new city-living style apartment which is only about 10 mins drive into Glasgow

Picture 3 I chose this instead.

I have chosen the feng-shui date to move in which is on the 31st Aug.

Changing direction in life means having to bid farewell to one of the best team I have ever worked with...

and the generous Hui Min bought aunt's family dinners in Glasgow

I went to London for couple of days.  The initial intention was to attend a Contact Dermatitis conference at St. Thomas' Hospital but I ended up meeting many friends.  The first familiar faces I saw were my collegues from Leicester and so I didnt feel too lonely.  Of course I picked up some new knowledge on this subject.  I didnt miss the opportunity to meet up with Ed, my HK senior/friend for lunch at Tottenham Court Road and followed by a dinner with 10 other people but I only know one of them.  The interesting thing is they are non-medics and the topic of conversation was totally out-of-this-world.  The only person I knew is Joyce, my high school mate whom I have not met for a decade.  I said a decade is because she couldn't remember meeting me in mamak stall few years ago.  It was great to catch up with her and she introduced me to her newly-wed hubby, Jason, who is damn hilarous and a true chatterbox.  He kept the atmosphere very lively indeed.  Her group of friends are definitely one of the kind and I truly enjoy their company.  Thank you all.  Unfortunately I didn't manage to snap any photos with them as I was too busy laughing away and also I forgot my camera.

I returned back to good old Glasgow and it was still the same weather before I left.. ... cloudy with drizzles.  It did not stop us from going out in the evening to the city.  I purchased this book recommended by a dear friend,  The Secret.  I am not utterly impressed with it as it was like a brain-washing/hypnotism book which I will just take her writings with a pinch of salt........ Christina and I waiting at the train station.

secret Not recommended.

I have been cooking daily and one of my best dish so far is the briased mushroom with minced meat.  I have this excellent chinese cookbook which gave this dish the name Lion's head meatball.  Impressive?  I have somehow improvised it with mushrooms.  Can you smell the aroma??

 2007_0606london0587

 foodRecommended book to buy.

My flatmate is currently watching Winter Sonata.  For those korean flick fans out there, you should know this is the ultimate pioneer film in korean film history.  I shed buckets of tears when I last watched in few years ago as it reminded me of my own melodrama.  More tears and old memories flooding into my thoughts for the next few days.  I shall keep myself busy with weekend locuming.

wintersonata  Awww.... I wish you are still alive... only in films u idiot!
